We got the following message from our colleagues in the USA about the terminal situation in Los Angeles/ Long Beach

Teamster pickets remained active at GGS/APL; TTI/Hanjin; and YTI/NYK during the 2nd-shift yesterday … due to the impact of missed 1st-shift working hours, productivity was significantly impacted across the LA-LB port complex – specific terminal info below:

TTI/Hanjin –>        Up to 5-hour turn times (heavy flip congestion & chassis shortage)

Pier A/MSC –>        Up to 5-hour turn times (heavy flip congestion)

PCT/Cosco –>        Up to 5-hour turn times (heavy flip congestion)

WBCT/China –>      Up to 5-hour turn times (heavy flip congestion)

GGS/APL –>           Up to 3.5-hour turn times (flip congestion & closed areas)

ITS/K-Line –>         Up to 3.5-hour turn times (flip congestion & chassis shortage)

YTI/NYK –>           Up to 3.5-hour turn times (flip congestion & chassis shortage)

**Other marine terminals had turn-times of 2.5-hours**

We are monitoring Teamster picket activity this morning and will confirm details on marine terminals that are targeted later today … please be reminded that the Coast Arbitrator ruled that ILWU labor cannot honor Teamster picket activity – so we do not expect any ILWU non-work issues and will keep you updated on productivity.

Inbound cargo may experience additional delays moving to ramps and exports may miss vessels if cargo cannot reach the terminals to be loaded.  I would expect the carriers to sail and keep their vessels moving.

Be careful with onboard dates and information in and out of LA
