MOL GRI and Peak Season Surcharge Asia to Europe

Here the latest MOL increase annoucements, one for the GRI and on top the Peak Season Surcharge:

Dear Valued Customer,

 
We would like to inform you that MOL has decided upon the implementation of a GRI and a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for cargo moving from Far East Asia (including South East Asia and Japan) to Europe

 
Both surcharges will become effective as from 15 January 2015 (Bill of Lading date)

 
The GRI level has been set at:
• USD 600 per TEU for cargo destined to Northern Europe (Including UK/Ireland, Scandinavia & Baltic) and the Mediterranean (East- and West Med, Black Sea & North Africa)

 
The PSS level has been set at:
• USD 400 per TEU for cargo destined to Northern Europe (Including UK/Ireland, Scandinavia & Baltic) and the Mediterranean (East- and West Med, Black Sea & North Africa)

 
The PSS introduction will also trigger the effective implementation of all contractually agreed private PSS arrangements covering the pre-CNY peak season period.
The GRI and PSS are applicable to all commodities and equipment types.
