Maersk Line will be implementing a Transatlantic Westbound (North Europe to Canada) Low Water Surcharge for all cargo transiting in this lane with an effective date of May 18th, 2015.  We find it necessary to implement this Low Water Surcharge as the current water level restrict the intake and latest projections of the water level do not show any improvements.

Details and scope of this surcharge are as follows:

From North Europe to Canada

  • USD 200 per 20’ container
  • USD 200 per 40’ container
  • USD 200 per 45’ container
  • USD 200 per 40’ reefer container
