Increase in India Service Tax rate to 15%
Dear Safmarine Customer,
The Government of India has proposed the implementation of the Krishi Kalyan Cess @ 0.5% of the value of service w. e. f. 1 Jun 2016. Accordingly, Safmarine will be charging a total tax of 15% (service tax of 14%, Swachh Bharat Cess of 0.5% and Krishi Kalyan Cess of 0.5%) on applicable India related charges in the invoices raised on or after 1 Jun 2016.
