Europe to South America Westcoast Service (EW1)Update – Service Changes

Dear Customer,
With reference to our CustomerInfo dated May 19, 2016 we would like to give you some further information about the service changes within the Europe to South America Westcoast Service (EW1).
The southbound vessels will proceed from Europe via Freeport Bahamas (Hapag-Lloyd is not participating in this port call) to Cartagena. Thus no AMS customs filing required.
The northbound vessels will proceed from Balboa (Panama) via Philadelphia (Hapag-Lloyd is not participating in this port call) to Rotterdam. Thus all cargo in transit via Philadelphia will be subject to an AMS customs filing.
The start of the enhanced service rotation has been postponed. We will revert with the first effective sailings in due course.
