Verified Gross Mass Fee

Effective July 14th, 2016

Dear Valued Customer,

CMA CGM (America) LLC is announcing the following changes to tariff CMDU 100 Rule 002.H. This change will go into effect July 14, 2016.

Verified Gross Mass

No container will be loaded onto a vessel until Carrier has received a verified gross mass (VGM) in accordance with the Safety of Life at Sea Convention. The VGM must be submitted prior to the VGM cut time, which will be communicated by Carrier.

VGMs may be submitted via shipping instructions or in a Separate submission. VGMs will be accepted through our eBusiness portal, EDI, through third party portals (INTTRA, GTNexus, and CargoSmart), or through manual (fax or e-mail) submission. All VGMs received via manual submission will be subject to a $25.00 fee to account for the additional manual work required to process such submissions.

Any terminal, ramp, or additional trucking costs associated with VGM compliance shall be for customers account. Customers should be aware that if a container is received at a terminal or ramp without a VGM, terminal or ramp charges may apply even if it is received prior to the VGM cut off.

If a container cannot be loaded due to untimely submission of the VGM, all applicable tariff charges, including roll fees and terminal costs, shall apply
Thank you for your continued support. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding this change, please contact your local CMA CGM sales representative. For current schedule activity please visit our Web site at www.cma-cgm.com.
