APL Now Part of the World’s Third Largest Shipping Group |

As of 9 June 2016, CMA CGM has successfully acquired a majority of NOL shares and assumed management control of NOL and APL. I am pleased to write to you today for the first time, as APL’s newly appointed Chief Executive Officer. This is a milestone in the history of both our companies, and we are excited to forge ahead as one organization. We will retain the APL as an independent brand and continue to work on its strengths.
Backed by the scale, assets and strengths of the CMA CGM Group, our customers will benefit from an improved offering, thanks to a more complete geographical coverage, a denser network of agencies, and an enhanced offering of shipping routes. The excellent complementarity between APL and CMA CGM will yield tangible benefits for all our customers.
In March 2017, APL will join Ocean Alliance. This will enable APL customers to benefit from a large and comprehensive service offer, with attractive selection of frequent departures and direct calls to meet their supply chain needs.
