Japan – Additional Handling Charge for Cancelled / Shifted Shipments

Dear Customer,
We would like to inform you that with effect from September 15, 2016 Hapag-Lloyd will implement an additional handling surcharge applicable on all customer-initiated export shipments, which are cancelled or to be shifted after the full container(s) have been gated-in the terminal.
Additional Handling Surcharge (CCO)
JPY 9,600 per all 20’ containers
JPY 14,400 per all 40’ containers
Consumption tax will be chargeable in case of cancelled shipments.
