Wellington, New Zealand – Temporary Cargo Arrangements for Imports and Exports

Dear Customer,
We would like to inform you that in view of the damage to Wellington (NZWLG) port and the uncertainty of the operational situation, Wellington imports and exports will be delivered and accepted at Napier (NZNPE) until further notice.
Wellington Exports
All Wellington exports are to be booked ex Napier.
Shippers can either make own transport arrangements or request Hapag-Lloyd to make pre-carriage arrangements ex Wellington to Napier, on basis that shippers accepts pre-carriage costs.
Wellington Imports
All Wellington imports will be discharged at Napier.
All cargoes will be made available to the consignee to collect at Napier at consignee’s cost.
Hapag-Lloyd is willing to make on-carriage arrangements if required from Napier to Kiwirail CT Site Wellington, on basis that consignee accepts on-carriage costs.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this situation has caused and we are taking every precaution to ensure that your cargo is delivered in a safe and timely manner.
