Service Tax on Prepaid Ocean Freight for Indian Import Shipments effective from 22 January 2017

Dear Valued Customer,

Further to our Indian local news dated on January 24, 2017, here to advise the scope of Ocean Freight and related charges which are subject to the 4.5% Indian tax*. This is applicable to shipments destined to India with payment outside India and effective from invoice dated on 22 January, 2017.
