China Market – Updated list of Zika-affected Countries |

Further to our advisory dated 28 April 2016, more countries have been added to the list of Zika-affected countries by the Chinese Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (CIQ). The bureau had issued a notice previously that requires vessels/containers calling countries with reported Zika virus transmissions to present a mosquito eradication certificate, failing which the terminals may conduct eradication measure. Please be informed that the CIQ has recently added The United States of America to the list of Zika-affected countries (in Chinese). Please find below a summarized list of Zika-affected countries issued by the CIQ. American Samoa, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Aruba, Belize, Barbados, Bolivia, Bonaire, Brazil, Cape Verde, Cayman Islands, Columbia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, French Guiana, Fiji, Marshall Islands, Guatemala, Guinea-Bissau, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Indonesia, Jamaica, Martinique Island, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Samoa, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Lucia, Saint-Martin, Saint Martin Island, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Salvador, Suriname, Thailand, The Commonwealth of Dominica, Tonga, The United States Virgin Islands, Trinidad, Tobago, The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, The British Turks and Caicos islands, The United States of America, the Philippines, The Federated States of Micronesia and Vietnam.
