Dear Valued Customer,
Please be informed that the U.S. Government has imposed a USDA Cold Treatment Inspection Charge (UCT) on refrigerated cargo that is undergoing cold treatment. This charge is for monitoring and confirming of Phytosanitary treatments of imports.
Kindly note that the cost of the inspection will be passed down from APL onto U.S. imports that uses cold treatment technology. The fee will be applied to the account of the party paying for the ocean freight.
The UCT fee for the next five years is as follow:
