Introducing the New Bill of Lading Form
Dear Valued Customer,

APL is introducing a new Bill of Lading (BL) form to standardize BL forms issued over the counter at APL offices and electronic Bill of Lading (eBL) printed at customers’ offices. With effect from 20 August 2016, the new BL form will appear as follows:

  • New APL logo will be printed at the top left corner.

 

 

 

  • When shipped under APL Co. Pte Ltd, the carrier name will be printed at the top right corner of the BL.
  • New terms and conditions at the back of the BL, as below with the additional clause highlighted.

    “Carrier” shall be APL Co. Pte Ltd or American President Lines, Ltd (as set out in the authorized signature box at the front of this Bill of Lading), the Vessel, its owner, operator, charterer (whether demise, time, voyage, space or slot), the master and any connection or substitute water carrier. Unless otherwise indicated, for all cargo into and out of China, the Carrier is APL Co. Pte Ltd..
