Announcement of 1st Real-Time Container Tracking Mobile Application

The CMA CGM Group, is pleased to announce the launching of its first mobile application, offering real time data collecting on container positions, vessel schedules, and other services offered by CMA CGM.
The application is available on the App Store or via Google Play in five languages (English, French, Spanish, German and Chinese). Users will be able to follow loading operations, search for routes or consult vessel schedules using their phones or tablets.
After CMA CGM announced its investment last February in the startup TRAXENS, which specializes in container geolocation, the Group is now pursuing digital development with the launching of its first mobile application.
Thirty-four percent of the phone calls from clients request information about a container’s position. This new mobile application will save time and offer instant views of the same information that CMA CGM has internally.
Other functionalities such as an “Eco calculator” will soon complete this new application, allowing the clients to know exactly the carbon footprint their container produces.
