Update: Columbus Suez service: New port call at Halifax
Effective August, 2015
Dear Valued Customer,
Pursuant to our previous advisory on our Columbus Suez service calling Halifax directly on its regular rotation, we are pleased to announce that the service will now call Halifax weekly as opposed to CMA CGM vessels only. We are confident that this new call and the fixed day weekly frequency will strengthen the service by providing another option into the key markets of Toronto and Montreal.
Please note the main features of this new service:
• Only direct service between South China/Vietnam/Malaysia and Halifax
• Extensive feeder services in South East Asia and the Indian Sub-Continent
• Largest vessels calling the East Coast of Canada
• Direct rail service between Halifax and Montreal/Toronto with a 4 day transit from discharge to
arrival
We have already commenced servicing Halifax with CMA CGM operated vessels as our first call was on August 3rd, 2015 with the CMA CGM Vivaldi v. 029USS. Regular weekly calls on all ships within the service will begin with the CMA CGM Titus v. 065USS, sailing Shanghai on September 2nd 2015 and arriving in
Halifax on October 4th, 2015.
