As recently announced Hamburg Süd and CCNI have reached an agreement whereby Hamburg Süd will acquire the liner service activities of Compaňia Chilena de
Navegación Interoceánica S.A. (CCNI).
In the U.S. trades Hamburg Süd and CCNI have been parties to the U.S. East Coast/South America West Coast Vessel Sharing Agreement as well as to the U.S. Gulf
and U.S. West Coast-South Agreements for many years.
No operational changes will occur as a result of the acquisition nor are any schedule changes anticipated. It is the intention to maintain the CCNI identity in the U.S. East Coast/South America West Coast trade. CCNI will be marketed as a brand of Hamburg Süd with a dedicated CCNI team.
