Dangerous Cargo(DG) Booking Restriction at Port of Xingang
Dear Valued Customer,
We would like to inform you that August 12, a series of explosions took place at port of Tianjin Xingang. While the exact cause of the explosion is unknown, local authorities are advising the explosion may have been related to hazmat goods in Xingang port CY. An immediate DG embargo by Tianjin Transport and Communications Committee has been placed on all dangerous goods destined for Xingang. The below summarizes the impact to our customers:
1.) No Dangerous Cargo Bookings shall be accepted to destination Xingang, China.
2.) Current ocean DG shipment toward Xingang, China will be discharged to other ports nearby Xingang port and arranged depending on situation by local authorities.
3.) Any current DG Bookings already made will not be processed until further notice.
4.) DG containers currently gated into terminal for export will not be loaded until further
notice.
