Peru – New Customs Requirement – Tax ID Transmission for Imports

Dear Customer,

 
We would like to inform you that with effect from November 14, 2016 Peruvian Customs will require Tax ID number of consignee and notify to be transmitted in the manifest. The Tax ID number is called RUC in Peru.

 
Please include this mandatory information in the Shipping Instructions for all your shipments to Peru.
Customs will reject any B/L that does not have this mandatory information.

 
 In case of household goods shipments, the Tax ID number must be the one corresponding to the moving company responsible for the shipment.
