Rate Restoration – Westbound from Indian Subcontinent and Middle East to North Europe and Mediterranean

Dear Customer,
In a continued effort to provide you with a high level of service and uninterrupted services and equipment supply Hapag-Lloyd announces an increased FAK (Freight All Kinds) rate for all cargoes for standard container types on the westbound trade from Indian Subcontinent and Middle East.
Valid from September 1, 2016 Hapag-Lloyd’s FAK rate to North Continent, subject to applicable surcharges will be:
ISC Zone 1 (Nhava Sheva/Mundra) – USD 950 per 20’ and USD 1500 per 40’
ISC Zone 2 (Chennai/Cochin) – USD 900 per 20’ and USD 1600 per 40’
Pakistan/Sri Lanka/Bangladesh – USD 850 per 20’ and USD 1400 per 40’
Jebel Ali – USD 600 per 20’ and USD 800 per 40’
Jeddah – USD 700 per 20’ and USD 950 per 40’
Valid from September 1, 2016 Hapag-Lloyd’s FAK rate to West Mediterranean, subject to applicable surcharges will be:
ISC Zone 1 (Nhava Sheva/Mundra) – USD 950 per 20’ and USD 1500 per 40’
ISC Zone 2 (Chennai/Cochin) – USD 900 per 20’ and USD 1600 per 40’
Pakistan/Sri Lanka/Bangladesh – USD 850 per 20’ and USD 1400 per 40’
Jebel Ali – USD 850 per 20’ and USD 1400 per 40’
Jeddah – USD 700 per 20’ and USD 950 per 40’
Valid from September 1, 2016 Hapag-Lloyd’s FAK rate to East Mediterranean, Black Sea and North Africa to subject to applicable surcharges will be:
ISC Zone 1 (Nhava Sheva/Mundra)– USD 1400 per 20’ and USD 2300 per 40’
ISC Zone 2 (Chennai/Cochin) – USD 1350 per 20’ and USD 2400 per 40’
Pakistan/Sri Lanka/Bangladesh – USD 1000 per 20’ and USD 1800 per 40’
Jebel Ali – USD 1000 per 20’ and USD 1800 per 40’
Jeddah – USD 1000 per 20’ and USD 1800 per 40’
This new rate level is a further step to bring the rates back to sustainable levels and will be applicable from all base ports in Indian Subcontinent and Middle East to all North Europe and Mediterranean base ports. Out ports will be subject to the prevailing transport additional in Europe and in Asia.
Indian Subcontinent Zone 1 comprises the West Coast ports of India (Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Delhi) and all inland container depot (ICD) locations moving via the ports of Nhava Sheva and Mundra.
Indian Subcontinent Zone 2 comprises East and South Coast India.
Middle East comprises Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
North Europe comprises North West Continent, the U.K., Scandinavia, Baltic and European ports of Russia.
Mediterranean comprises the West Mediterranean, East Mediterranean, Black Sea and North Africa.
