Sokhna (Egypt) – New port call in Egypt
It is with great pleasure to announce that we are expanding our portfolio of ports in Egypt by adding Sokhna which is located 40 km below the southern entrance of the Suez Canal, on the West Coast of the Gulf of Suez.
Over the last years, Sokhna port has rapidly become the preferred gateway for the Eastern trades, catering for approximately 20% of the containerized market volume for Egypt, with Far East and Middle East being the main trading routes.
Together with Sokhna, we now operate in six ports in Egypt with Port Said East, Port Said West, Damietta, Alexandria and Dekheila.
Sokhna will be served by our 344 Feeder service. Rotation will be as follows;
King Abdullah (Saudi Arabia) – Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) – Aqaba (Jordan) – Sokhna (Egypt)
Our new feeder set up will be effective as of 16 March 2016 and first call to Sokhna is planned on 23 March 2016.
