MSC seem to be one of the few carriers that keep on charging the Low Water Surcharge for the St Lorenz river. How can that be? Low water for MSC and Hapag and not for others?

For and on behalf of our principal MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A., Geneva, we like to inform you that the water levels of St. Laurent river are dropping significantly.

 
As a consequence MSC is implementing a Low Water Surcharge (LWS) in the trades from North West Continent / Scandinavia / Baltic / Mediterranean / Black Sea Area to Canada East Cost.
Effective date will be: 15th December 2014
The applicable quantum will be: USD 175,00 per 20’ USD 250,00 per 40’
