Destination Surcharge Manila Suspension – Implementation Equipment Imbalance Surcharge Manila

Dear Valued Customer,
In view of the continuous heavy imbalance in Manila port, Philippines, NYK suffers from huge additional costs to evacuate empty boxes out of Manila. As part of our cost recovery measures, as well as to enable us to better manage the equipment flow, NYK would like to implement an Equipment Imbalance surcharge. This surcharge will replace the current Destination Cost Recovery surcharge as from 11 th July 2015. The surcharge will be applicable for all import shipments destined for Manila.
This surcharge will apply for as long as the current operational conditions continue.

Implementation: Equipment Imbalance Surcharge
Effective Date: 1 1 th July 2015
Quantum: USD 168/TEU
Shipment: All import cargoes at Manila port
Collect: Collect at destination
