Today we received the numbers from OOCL for their GRI foreseen for July 1st, 2014:

 

US$375/20’ and US$500/40’/45’ for Westbound dry cargo on all  routes/loops offered from Europe to the United States East and Gulf Coast Ports,  and Mexico.

 

US$600/20’ and US$800/40’/45’ for Westbound dry cargo on all routes/loops offered from Europe to the United States West Coast Ports.

 

US$200/20’ and $300/40’/45’ for Westbound dry cargo on all

routes/loops offered from Europe to Canada and U. S. destinations via Canada.

These are very ambitious increases and we will see, if the market will be strong enough to support such numbers!

Some carriers already extended the rates to September 30th, so this will not be an easy step.
