Very ambitious approach, the carriers feel strong now, it remains to be seen, if this will happen. To our opinion this charge is much too high. (We learned that this PSS will not be applied to Canada)

OOCL will implement a Peak Season Surcharge on the Westbound Transatlantic Trade to the USEC Ports with validity from 6th March 2015 until further notice.
The surcharge quantum will be

US$375/40’ & 45’ container.
