we would like to inform you that due to the ongoing instability in Yemen and in order to protect our customers’ interests, UASC will suspend all cargo bookings into Yemen, effective immediately, with the following terms:
– If full containers have already been loaded from the first load port, the Bill of Lading will be issued as per contractual terms.
– In cases where full containers have not been loaded from the first load port (bookings taken or empty containers released to shipper or full containers awaiting loading), these bookings will be cancelled and the associated costs and consequences will be on shippers’ account.
– Bills of Lading already issued for other ports can neither be switched nor can the delivery be changed to Yemeni ports.
UASC is closely evaluating the situation and will advise you of any updates to it.
